The Ice Age . . . Has Passed
EWA is saddened to report the death of EWA superstar Steven Cartagena, better known as IceKid.
Police reports say that Steven was in his two story home in Hartford, Connecticut when an explosion took place. The EWA Team were the last to see Steven before this tragic end. They confirm Steven was headed straight home after Tenacious Conflict, stating that he "Wanted to take some time off back home" and that he was going to retire from EWA after the remaining five months in his contract expired. Detectives are still undergoing research but report that Steven was in his home for two hours when an explosive located in his freezer was activated when pulled open, the possibility that Steven had unintentionally done it himself, perhaps searching for a beverage. Forensic Scientists found the charred body beneath the debris of the house as they discovered "Boom B#tchez" located on nearby tree. Police are now examining the case as a "Plotted Homicide" the irony of the explosive being located in a freezer and the stage name "IceKid" being killed by burning to death.
Steven was survived by his wife and two children. Twins Marisol and Adrian Cartagena (both 17) are both deeply saddened and disturbed of the loss of their father and have since disbanded from their wrestling organizations. Wife, Cassandra could not be reached. He has been scheduled for a funeral next Friday at St.Augustine Church with many fellow co-workers and Staff being openly invited.
Steven was soon to end his kayfabe storyline of pregnancy at Trials and Tribulations, in which his "child" was miscarried through an in-ring accident. He would soon "sue" the company, only to have it backfire into his retirement. EWA has since reported the concept was false and nothing but a storyline. The career of Steven Cartagena has been short lived, but the thought of the life ahead will continue forever more. You will be dearly missed . . .
