***'Revelations' by Iron Maiden hits and blares throughout the arena. ***
Kate:
Ladies and Gentlemen would you all please stand up and put your hands together for the NEW United World heavyweight Champion and formerly Mr. Money in the Bank…hailing from Norway, he is none other than Kimbodo!
The fans cheer at the top of their lungs as Kimdobo comes out from the back. Smoke fills the aisle at knee height as fireworks explode above the titantron. He then struts down the aisle. Some naive fans hold out their hands for Kimbodo to slap. He goes over and for the first time slaps their hands, making sure he doesn’t forget any of the fans. Streamers and balloons fall from the skies and pyrotechnics light up all over the place as Kimbodo can’t stop smiling .
Ace:
And here comes EWA’s youngest champion and now the youngest ever World Champion – Kimbodo!
Ross:
And you gotta wonder what this kid’s going through right now. He won that title last night when we hadn’t seen him for months, he wasn’t even advertised on the card?!
Kimbodo then walks along the aisle and rolls into the ring. getting to his feet he points to himself before bending over. He then rises in his trademark eagle pose as the crowd cheer even louder. Finally his fireworks stream from behind him like Scott Hall's and he sits down on a turnbuckle. The champ steps into the ring, picks up the belt and asks for a microphone. He’s soon handed one by Kate as his music dies down.
Kimbodo:
It took longer than I wanted it to, it took a lot of different twists and turns, screw jobs, the whole nine … but the fact of the matter is that The Champ…is…HERE!!!
The crowd roars as Kimbodo takes the title belt off of his shoulder and raises it into the air with a smile. Kimbodo brings the belt down before he brings the mic back up and speaks again.
Kimbodo:
Last Sunday night, Cyber Kinetics, Flyer and myself … we put it all on the line for twenty-five minutes. We put it all on the line for this {rubs title belt}, we put it all on the line for the UNITED Championship, and once it was all said and done … I walked out the winner.
Another pop from the sold-out crowd. Kimbodo, however, isn’t as enthusiastic, as he paces back and forth in the ring, before he brings the mic back up.
Kimbodo:
But as I stare at this … championship belt on my shoulder, I have to ask myself … “Was it worth it?”.
‘The Submission Master’ continues to pace in the ring, as the crowd murmers a bit.
Kimbodo:
Was it worth it? These past few months have been nothing short of a living hell. The Money in the Bank ladder match was the most painful experience of my life at the time. I could have been fired like Mr. P --
Big heat for Mr. P which cuts Kimbodo off for a moment.
Kimbodo:
5 other men were ready to crush me to get a shot at this title, and then Flyer did EVERYTHING in his control to keep … this … UNITED Championship.
Kimbodo shakes his head, stopping for a sec, before he brings the mic back up to his mouth.
Kimbodo:
And it all came to a head last Sunday night. At Cyber Kinetics, I was kicked, I was suplexed, I was put into the cobra clutch, I gave brainbusters, I saw a guy FLY half way across this ring just so he could put me away. By the end of it I dam near gave myself a concussion, could’ve ended up paralyzed or even WORSE, and I did it all … to win this UNITED Championship!! Flyer and I killed each other … just for this belt … a piece of gold and leather!! So I ask again … WAS IT WORTH IT?!
Kimbodo angrily glares ahead into the hard camera, before his vision shifts to the championship belt on his shoulder. Kimbodo then lifts his head up and … lets out a smirk, before laughing a bit.
Kimbodo:
Ya’ Sploosh right it was worth it.
The crowd cheers as Kimbodo backs up a bit.
Kimbodo:
It was worth every drop of sweat, it was worth every ounce of blood, every broken bone, every busted rib, every lost match, every won match, every tough match, I’d do every last bit of it again, because here I stand the absolute BEST that this business has to offer, the single most dominant superstar in this company, and this championship on my shoulder proves it!
The crowd cheers in a defining response as Kimbodo is forced to pause or them again.
Kimbodo:
You see this belt, in the hands of any other man, is just a belt. This belt in the hands of Flyer, in the hands of Mr. P, in the hands of HBB, The Rock, Virus, Cody Rivers, Jamez Hardy, Scott Buster, Icekid, Maverick and even T-bone himself is nothing more…than a strap of leather with some gold on it. Yeah, sure it looks pretty but it has no meaning, no character, no prestige. In my hands it becomes power. It becomes strength. It becomes passion and integrity and honour and all the things that each and every one of those people in the back strive for!
The crowd cheer as Kimbodo builds up the title for them.
Kimbodo:
You see this belt, in the hands of Kimbodo, becomes the most important belt in the world, because it symbolizes that I am the best, and there is not a man, woman or child that can deny that!
The crowd explode into cheers for the champ again as he goes on.
Kimbodo:
You see after my loss to JGH, I began to doubt my abilities. I wondered if I could ever rise to the lofty heights I had set myself. Ladies and Gentlemen, doubt screws everything. Take a foundation, no matter how strong, sprinkle generously with doubt, and watch it crumble. Me? I'm unscrewwithable. Not this knee, not bad weather, and certainly not the many men that wish bad intentions on me can stop me. I rise up, not like a phoenix, but like the zombie corpse of Chris Benoit. Which brings me to my next hurdle – Icekid.
The crowd give a mixed reaction as the champ says Icekid’s name.
Kimbodo:
Icekid, you may be celebrating your newly won number one contendorship, but I warn you – you don’t want to step into the ring with me. You see I’ve heard all about you Icekid. I hear these fans saying, “Icekid? Oh, he Hardcore! He’s Hardcore!”. Well Icekid, you need to realize that you will have to kill me…
The crowd are a little taken aback by Kimbodo’s strong words.
Kimbodo:
You will have to murder me and then with every inch of strength you have left you will have to pry this belt from my cold dead fingers to defeat me. I know you’ve had your @ss handed to you numerous time kid, you’ve taken your fair share of beatings…but nothing can prepare you for what I will do to you. Icekid, I’d just as easily put you in an armbar as I’d wrap a pillow around you face and put you in a crippler-crossface!
The crowd are now stunned at Kimbodo’s emotion. He goes on regardless as the arena is silent, but Kimbodo now starts to get very angry, as if Icekid has angered him for a long time and he’s letting the frustration out.
Kimbodo:
You see Icekid, tonight I have a tag match against which you’re a part of. And I GUARANTEE that after tonight, you will realize just what you’re in for. Compared to me Icekid, you’re a nobody. Compared to me you’re nothing but a crack in the pavement which I can walk over. Icekid if I spat on the ground it wouldn’t sum up how I feel about you. So tonight I will make you understand – through physical pain – exactly how I feel about you.
Kimbodo drops the mic as a silent crowd are stunned and sit in silence. ‘Revelations’ by Iron Maiden reverberates throughout the arena as the champ steps between the ropes out of the ring and heads straight for the back.
Ace:
What the heck was that all about?
Ross:
I don’t know, but it looks like there are some deep issues between these two. What they are I don’t know.
