Maybe ya'll are not feeling match writing any more. What if we switched to promo style and all that jazz? Discuss

Point for Phenomena BUT people are lazy and to be honest after two years of Match RPing there is not much thrill left in a TLC Steel Cage barbwire match. It's just the same old stuff.
I don't know . . . I really don't know

I am better at match writing than promos, obviously but I think people should have an option on every match. That way people have a fair chance at winning because of their match/promo writing.

stick to RP, too many promo feds out there. whats the point of winning a match by doing a simple backstage RP? I'd rather read about sick wrestling, individual highlights, and innovative maneuvers. Anyone who can't do that is not considered a creative writter, cause frankly we do both promos and "RP" anyway . . . we just make the matches count. No one is inclined to stay here, if boredom is what you get out of it or if you find it be another homework assignment, you're free to leave. Minds change, people come back, but don't let a few lagers make the decision on EWA fundamentals. Promo feds are just popular, which is annoyin, once they die down and the e-fed world finds some new way to decide winners, promo will be out of the question. To the RPers, simple solution: Play, don't get played out

I agree with Icey on this one... I know, I know, T, I pushed for it to begin with... but that was for MY best interests, not EWA's. (Awesome: But my interests ARE EWA's interests! ) Sure, we'd get more members, but like Icey said, it's only because it's the "now" thing. Next is gonna be who looks the best or who has the most fantastic finisher... EWA needs to stick to its roots, because that's what has got us this far. On a side note... Economic crisis in America... EWA near collapse, coincidence??? I think not.

I think we should keep things as they are, RPing the matches, I don't have anything against Promo Feds but Promos aren't my thing...

I have never done it the way we are, so I wont to keep it to see how it is.

I think TBone's turmoil comes from the fact that everyone says that they want to keep it the way it is but nobody RPs

^ yep, P is right. That's how P's do. So the question is: What would make people RP their matches again? I for my part would like the idea that someone brought up earlier but I don't want to scroll down and see who said it. That's why I call him Ray. Ray said something like we can choose if we want to make our promo RP count as our match RP. Means ---> If Mr. P makes a match RP and I make one of my phenomenal promos, T decides which RP he liked more. But it would be hard to find a winner if one RP is only talk talk and the other RP is only punch kick. Like I said earlier: I don't know

I actually like that idea. Just means a few tweaks to match writing proceedure for those who choose to Match RP.
Anyway what I mean about promo is less about on show segements, although those are fine and more about external story. To see examples of both internal and external Promos, Crazy Jack made a good internal promo on his contract (first that came to mind, though many of Buster's RPs work too) for more of an external Promo, go look at my RP in the Rating Section titled "Icey Inspired, T-Bone Approved". The difference here is that the External Promos tell a story that doesn't necessarly have anything to do with wrestling, like in my example I use Icey's "death" as the main source for everything that happens.
I'll have to think of the tweak, but I'm down with revamping my judging system to allow for both Match RPs and or Promo RPs to count towards your win condition.

Ok sure i'm new but i think i'm entitled to an opinion So here it is.. From an outsiders point of view, Match RPing is the way to go.. I've been on bebo wrestling for 7 months, and in that 7 month i've been doing promo wrestling. The problem with promos is that the ideas for them run out a helluva lot faster than what ideas for matches do. In matches you can use any move to whatever advantage you want - there are endless possibilities. While in promos ideas run dry pretty quickly.. I mean come on how many times can you write about getting interviewed or arguing with your opponent backstage? And when you get into the external promos, things get waaay out of hand, suddenly your writing about stuff that arnt related to your match at all. I knew a guy who did a promo about seeing his opponent in the macdonalds driveway crying out loud.. and you always.. always.. get some idiot that forgets the whole point in a promo is hyping an upcoming match. He'll be sitting at home nursing his ill mother or something whilse hes supposed to be preparing for the match of his life.. stupid really.. I'm just sayin..

^ sorry nope, people get an opinion after three months in EWA. Until then we will ignore what you say ;D hmm . . . I got nothing to say really. I just wanted to be funny and piss off that new guy because he and his budy came on here while I wasn't on which is said because they had so much fun in the shout box with Rocko and JGH.
