OOC: I'm only giving up wrestling. I'm still staying to be someone's manager, or maybe to be the new Ring Announcer, or to be an Official, or whatever - but I'm not leaving the fed.
EWA.com has just recently discovered that Torrie Duggan has just announced her Retirement of Wrestling, due to Medical Issues. Here's what Torrie had to say about this scoop:
Torrie: After I came back from my tour in Australia in June, I had this slight pain in my back that bugged me for weeks. It wasn't until July that I decided to visit my doctor, who suggested that I undergo some Physical Therapy, to find out what the pain was. I had to wait for the results, and after returning to EWA, the doctor called me. I went back to Palatka and I was told that I had a serious Spinal Injury, and that I couldn't wrestle anymore. To be honest, I wasn't really surprised by this, because I was never comfortable wrestling in the past. So unfortunately, I have decided to announce my Retirement from Wrestling.
Although this injury may prevent Torrie Duggan from competing, Torrie promises that she will not leave the business. Which means that Torrie Duggan is now looking for a wrestler in the EWA roster who is willing to hire her as their Manager. Torrie had this to say on her behalf:
Torrie: I'm announcing my Retirement from Wrestling, but I'm not leaving the business just yet. I've decided to offer my managerial services to anyone in the EWA roster, as long as they are willing not to treat me differently because of my injury.
EWA.com: Do you have any thoughts on who you want to manage already?
Torrie: Well alot of names do spring to mind. I've been the Virus's manager once before, and JGH and I have become friends here. And then there's Andy Brookes, who has helped me out since returning here to EWA, and also I could even the odds up at Desperate Measures when he defends the Smash title against Brezzy, who will obviously have Desire in his corner.
Torrie Duggan looks forward to her career as a Manager, but also she has considered becoming the new Ring Announcer of EWA, in replacement for co-owner of EWA, Kate Marshall. Despite being disabled from Wrestling, there is still many paths to follow in the Wrestling Industry.
Here's what other members of the EWA roster had to say:
