"Hey, Baldie!"
Matt Balden, who is walking backstage after introducing the card for the show, turns around to see who the source of the voice who just addressed him.
Balden: "Yeah, what the **** do you wa - Wait a minute, did you just call me Baldie?"
The camera turns and we see that Cody Rivers is standing there, arms folded across his chest. We hear boos in the background, which draws a half-smirk from Rivers as he looks off-screen toward the ring, but the expression quickly turns sour as he turns back to Balden.
Rivers: "Answer this first. Did you just put me in a curtain-jerker with some nobody jobber?"
Balden: "Hey, listen, with your record, you should be thanking me, but that's beside the point. Look, you see this? What is this?"
Balden points at his blonde hair. Rivers eyes it thoughtfully for a moment, then shrugs.
Rivers: "A bad haircut?"
Balden: "It's hair, you prick. You call bald people Baldie, not me. Now is there some point to this?"
Rivers: "Yeah, there is. See, the way I see it, this could just be me taking down another jobber for the fans, or it could be something a little more interesting."
Balden: "Please tell me you are -not- going to start rapping again."
Rivers stares at Balden with thinly veiled fury for a moment before stepping right up in his face.
Rivers: "Listen, Mr. Intern, unless you want me to dust off my old GMing hat and walk away with your new job. That Rampage loudmouth wants to be special referee for the handicap match at the Pay-Per-View, but I'm not convinced that a guy with his IQ even knows the rules. So why don't you talk to Mr. Jones about making my match with Rampage a match for the position Rampage wants. Either way, you'll at least be shutting him up."
Balden: "Wait. You're asking me to do something that's not even within my authority?"
Rivers:: "Tell you what. You make it happen, and I'll even let you tell your boss that you came up with it yourself. That way you can at least pretend you have a booker-worthy bone in your body."
With that, Rivers walks away from the new GM and starts to make his way toward the gorilla position...
(TBC?)
