The scene opens with Kimbodo sitting on the ground, leaning against a wall. The camera shows him in a full body show as his legs are extended out and the World Title is on his lap. He speaks in a hushed yet forceful tone as the crowd pay attention.
Kimbodo:
Icekid, wrestling is a sport for young verile men, not sickly old fools. You see, there's a parable about a man walking in the desert and God says to him, "I'll always be by your side, I'll always be by your side". And as the man walks through the desert he gets weaker and weaker, and finally when he thinks he's at his lowest point, he notices that there's only one set of footprints not two. And with whatever intestinal fortitude, whatever heart, whatever he has, that he can mustur, he makes it through that desert and when he gets there he says "God, God, why did you dessert me? You promised me you'd always be with me", and God says, "Even though there was only one set of footprints, that was me carrying you".
Kimbodo pauses for a second, before going on in a more menacing tone .
Kimbodo:
Well on April 8th, Icekid, God will not be in the ring. I will be the one carrying you Icekid. I will enable you to make it through the match, I will enable you to be in one of the greatest matches in recorded history. I will enable you to almost taste victory before I take that away from you, Icekid. Before I take that away from you, at some point in the match you'll realise this yourself. You'll realise that you can't beat me. That you can't defeat me and that all it is, is me tormenting you, torturing you, humiliating you, and at some point as you lay there beaten, battered, bruised, and bleeding and praying for devine intervention to end your miserable life, to give you an honourable death in combat...
Kimbodo now looks off into the distance with his arm reaching for an intangible object.
Kimbodo:
I will carry you, Icekid…
Kimbodo now snaps out of his trance and screams into the camera.
Kimbodo:
I will carry you to the end of the match, to the bitter ugly pill of defeat. And I'll look in your eyes then and I'll see the eyes of a broken man and that's when I'll see my salvation.
Kimbodo again pauses as he looks into the camera almost crazed.
Kimbodo:
I'll see every hope, dream, and aspiration you ever had come crumbling down around you...which lead you and your kind to endure and dish out every beating. Because the fact of the matter is, whether you want to admit it or not, you can’t beat me Icekid. All your proclamations of, “Hardcore! Hardcore!” won’t help you get out of a figure four leglock! They won’t help you escape a hangman’s clutch! Icekid, your last hope, your last dream, will be that I would be a failure like you, but that’s not going to happen, because I’m better than you! And I’m better than every moron who can’t wrestle their way out of a paper bag so they have to beat the hell out of themselves and each other with foreign objects!
Kimbodo now whispers to the camera but his voice builds up.
Kimbodo:
So Icekid, when I end your quest for the Holy Grail, when I nullify everything you've ever done by defeating you in that ring, I hurt every fan and every perpetrator of hardcore wrestling. When I end your triumphant comeback, I hurt every individual who places ANY value on hardcore wrestling. When I deprive the fans of the majesty of seeing their legend reign high again, I hurt every one of your followers! And as I force you and your fans to admit to themselves as well as the world, that I am the single greatest wrestler on the planet, I hurt every person who’s ever CARED about a hardcore wrestler!
Kimbodo now steadies himself and gets ready to conclude as he lifts the belt to his shoulder.
Kimbodo:
You see, I’m going out there tonight and making sure I rid EWA of you and your kind. I don't even care, as restless as I am, and I don't even know just where your bones will rest. To dust? I guess. Forgotten and absorbed to the Earth below. The World Title heats the urgency of surrounds; can't you see beside Kimbodo, there's no one else around?
The scene fades as Kimbodo looks questioningly at the camera.
